Mosart, a leading newscast automation system provider, has partnered with EVS, a leader in broadcast production technology, to help producers and newscasters improve newsroom productivity. The companies have teamed up to provide newsrooms with improved production workflows using EVS’ XT/XS series production servers controlled by Mosart’s automated interface.

Turner Sports Central’s new asset management system has been shortlisted in the content creation category of the IBC2012 Innovation Awards. EVS, a leading provider of broadcast and media production systems for sports, news and TV entertainment, provided a centralized ingest and playout workflow for the system, which was developed in-house to track, log and retrieve 27,000 live recording hours of content from more than 6,000 individual events each year.

The prestigious awards were held on 12 February at London’s Royal Opera House. ORF, the Austrian national public service broadcaster, has contracted EVS to upgrade a total of 13 XT2 media servers to the latest XT3 series and to introduce the powerful IPDirector content production management suite for live sports broadcasts and in-house studio productions.
Aiming to deliver the most exciting viewing experience to millions of worldwide rugby fans,SKY TV New Zealand productions opted for a complete EVS technology-based architecture for all recordings and fast turnaround editing operations. The live production operations of all matches were covered by four HD mobile units and two flyaway production kits distributed to different venues around the country. Each OB unit was equipped with six to eight XT series servers, depending on the number of games. Up to 24 cameras and five Super Motion systems were used to cover the top matches.
Epsio.Air is the latest EVS solution which is part of the Epsio graphic suite. Epsio’s patented technology is designed to enhance sports broadcast programs with ads and other virtual graphic overlays added on the pitch or to replace surrounding billboards.
Perfectly adapted for live and near-live TV programs, C-Cast naturally responds to the needs of a new generation of viewers. The tool allows access to complementary or exclusive content of main broadcast programs on a “second screen” platform available on iPads, Smart TVs, Smartphone’s, laptops and other devices.
At this year’s Tour de France the German public broadcasting network ZDF used a fiber based MediorNet system from Riedel Communications to connect its DSNG and the main OB truck. A Riedel Artist digital matrix intercom system enabled communications between the various OB vehicles that were used for broadcast. In addition, a number of racing teams, such as Team RadioShack, used the Riedel brand NanoTalk for the communication between riders, technicians and the team captains during the races.
