EVS’ presentations at the SMPTE Australia show will include extended sports production and content management workflows based on the new XT3 platform, the integrated broadcast and news production system, and new innovative video webcasting solution offering instant multi-camera review on second screen applications. 

EVS, a leading manufacturer of broadcast and media production systems, has signed a deal to supply BBC Sport with an integrated broadcast solution at the heart of its new file-based Sports Production System (SPS). The SPS, which will be installed at the BBC’s new MediaCityUK facility in Salford Quays, has been designed to create fast turnaround productions, highlight packages and craft edits.

Host broadcast organization HBS confirms its ongoing collaboration with live production technology specialist EVS to supply equipment to enhance live production coverage at the Women’s World Cup in Germany.  Match productions involving multiple Outside Broadcast (OB) facilities as well as broadcast companies will rely on EVS solutions for all live replays, highlights and graphic analysis throughout the event. 

Visual Three Productions is extending its range of EVS servers with the purchase of Malaysia’s first XT3. The extension builds upon Visual Three’s existing installation of EVS servers and controllers, and is driven by the expansion of their HD operations.

EVS’ new ingest control and review application for multi-camera recording sessions is ideal for Columbia’s high-definition remote production truck.

In order to simplify the workflow process, Columbia chose the touchscreen application Insio for their multi-camera remote production truck. A recent live comedy show titled, “Freq Out,” was recorded at the college’s new media production center using the truck and the Insio technology. Students managed the entire project from scriptwriting to post-production.

EVS will once again deploy its industry-leading production solutions at The All England Tennis Lawn Club Wimbledon Championships, working with various partners to provide major international broadcasters, including BBC Sport, with host broadcast services. EVS servers will also record the first ever 3D coverage of the gentlemen’s and ladies’ Wimbledon finals and, working alongside partners IMG Media and Timeline TV, EVS will provide instant searchable access to archive footage from the last four Wimbledon tournaments.

MediaCorp PLT Ltd chose EVS’ digital production technology to broadcast Singapore’s recent election. Singapore’s leading media company covers a wide range of platforms including TV, radio, magazines, movies and digital out-of-home media.
MediaCorp News Pte Ltd owns Channel NewsAsia, Channels 5 and 8, Suria and Vasantham.  The broadcast company produces news, current affairs, documentary programs and airs reality TV and talk shows.

Introduced for the first time at the NAB last month, EVS’ integrated production package Xedio Flash has been selected by KM productions to cover the prestigious film festival on its dedicated channel TV Festival de Cannes, from May 11th to May 22nd.

ABS–CBN, Asia's first commercial television broadcaster and top-rated station in the Philippines, has expanded its production capabilities with the addition of 17 EVS Insio systems to control a growing number of EVS server farms, which includes 14 new SD and HD EVS XT2+.

In order to meet challenges posed by recent increase of new shows usually produced off-site, ABS-CBN has developed a new OB in a Box concept, solidifying a complete EVS environment with a fully-integrated solution.

EVS presents IPEdit.3D, the first 3D live editing solution featuring a complete timeline editing performance without rendering. IPEdit.3D will be unveiled and exhibited at the NAB Show in Las Vegas (April 10th-14th) at the EVS booth C9508 (Central Hall).

Norwegian & Finnish Public broadcasters NRK and YLE have been operating their new HD OB vans with EVS server and content management technology at the 2011 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships that was recently held at the Holmenkollen National Arena in Oslo.

EVS will introduce the third generation of its XT servers at NAB. The new XT3 production server, which offers eight flexible channels SD/HD and six channels 3D/1080p capabilities, combines EVS’ world-class speed and reliability with the ultimate capability and performance. The XT3 system, available from July 2011, will be unveiled at NAB Show in Las Vegas (10-14 April) at the EVS booth C9508 (Central Hall).
